Don't do alternating grip. Strengthen your forearms and use a hook grip if necessary.

No. I refuse. If I cannot lift it with an overhand grip, then I am not worthy. That is my mindset. The most I will do is use chalk.

Cool, that’s your mindset. Our mindset is to lift with mixed grip, alternating. That doesn’t make us weak, so stop flaming random people for using mixed grip.

You're right, it doesn't make you weak. I was just razzing y'all. But it is indicative of a lagging grip strength which shouldn't be ignored if total strength is your goal and it can have potetentially negative effects, i.e. imbalances and higher potential for injury.

There's no such thing as weirdly high grip strength. The higher the grip strength, the more weight you can carry, and the more weight you can carry, the harder you can train in general. Most people in the western world just have extremely weak grip strength.
