Domesticated animals, inanimate objects, and human slaves are semi persons from the perspective of humans, because they interact in meaningful ways with humans, but are owned as property. For most of human history foreigners were considered wild animals.
Wtf!? Why would you only stop eating meat of I made vegetables taste less good than they already do? Also, they can talk even if you can't understand them...

I just said, the ability to understand something is the sole predication of personhood. If I can understand them, it doesn't matter if they talk or not, they have become people from my perspective. All existence is relative to something else.

Constructing a universal standard of ethics would also require you to recognize the inherent humanity in plants, rocks, and single celled organisms. Every action you take would be an orgy of violence.

The Microbiome of your stomach alone contains more cells than the rest of your body. By total weight It is more alive than you, and the nerve endings which communicate with them form a bigger network than your brain.

But to us, it's all just shit, and eating anything meat or vegetables, kills countless living organisms which are just as complex and alive as any animal. And not eating anything at all would kill a collection of beings that are more alive than you.

Vegetarianism is the refuge of self righteous hypocrisy trying to disguise it's own biased moral relativism through specious claims of moral objectivity, but no such thing can possibly exist. Only sophists and fools claim this is a contradiction.

lol no it isn't I'm a moral nihilist. Both an amoralist and an immoralist. Animal agriculture is intimately tied to the patriarchal capitalist superstructure, both historically and ideologically, and as such consumption of meat is fundamentally heteronormative.
-
If you are truly a moral Nihilist then you'd have no problem with patriarchal capitalism as it's just one form of culture that humans are capable of creating. I'm a cannibal feminist. Many mammals will eat their young if they don't think they can feed them, this includes apes.

From a practical standpoint, it's the most effective way for the mother to control her own reproduction. If she wants children she can always get pregnant again, and the new ones will be fundamentally identical to the old ones as infants. Only grown individuals are unique.
