Snacking frequently also spikes insulin, which can result in insulin resistance and tends to result in feeling tired more often throughout the day. Whereas IF can result in insulin sensitivity, decreases inflammation, increases HGH, BDNF, etc.

As for tryptophan... we don't produce any tryptophan at all. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid. As long as you get enough calories from a variety of foods, you should have enough tryptophan.
