People say nihilism brings despair but i would say it's the other way around, that a life where everything is meaningful is full of dread

If you think so consider this 2 situations ,the 1st one you are inevitably doomed and you have no way to not be.

The 2nd one you can not be doomed but every thought and action could lead to your doom so you have to pay importance to eveything you do.
-
Hmm, I think that 'doomed' qualifies as a kind of meaning/importance? So, wouldn't nihilism be devoid of even doom?
-
But the nihilism am talking about is a kind of apathetic approach to the world, a sort of comforting despair.

The 1st one gives the comfort of "well am screwed anyway why care and worry" with the 2nd one you dread the day and its constant struggles
