"i have no morals. i'm an amoralist. i live free." that same person: "degrade trans people and i'll square you within an inch of your life"
But if someone explicitly says that they are amoral, then it is just a preference.

Understanding how people talk about moral statements has no actual bearing.
-
declaring that you're amoral doesn't make it so.
-
especially when that declaration always comes with a load of moral sentiments as is par for the course with nihilists
-
"moral sentiments" basically any subjective value is a "moral sentiment" it seems.
-
Do you realize that if you are trying to refute moral nihilists with value relativism, then you are self refuting?
-
i'm not using value relativism. and i'm not trying to 'refute' moral nihilism. i didn't make an argument against it.
-
making reference to 'moral sentiments' assumes nothing about the meta-ethical framework i hold behind it
-
i'm saying that amoralists don't exist and that, further, most statements of amoralism comes loaded with moralism
