I'm a consequentialist. I value the diminishment of authoritarianism in the universe.
To clarify, what would prevent anarchy from degenerating back into Statism?

This is a complex question that twitter can't cover full scope of. But
-
1) Technological infrastructure and material conditions that make domination hard.
-
So like if we have an anarchist truly decentralized & resilient internet, and everyone has guns, etc.
-
(also largely egalitarian distributions of wealth, decentralization in other infrastructures etc etc)
-
2) No centralized bodies with coercive power. So millions of checks and balances from all angles.
-
these checks and balances would be incredibly diverse but would be facilitated by comms technologies

What causes it to? Authority doesn't come out of the blue nor some natural state for things to return to.
-
The entire world population is enmeshed in violent, hierarchical relations.
-
It's not like racism, sexism, queerphobia, ableism, etc. would just magically disappear if a violent
-
revolution was staged and successfully overthrew the State.
-
It's not like parents would magically stop beating their kids.
-
Agreed. Most anarchists have never argued that anarchism will come with one rev http://dwardmac.pitzer.edu/Anarchist_Archives/malatesta/towardsanarchy.html …
-
The point with a rev is to tear down large structural forms of domination (state, wealth inequality).
-
Building a broader culture of liberty & responding to individual cases of abuse cant come with one swoop
