The only thing the studies which spin the ketogenic diet in a positive light prove is that cutting out refined foods is beneficial. Many many other studies associate high intake of animal products with a host of health conditions such as heart disease, liver disease and cancer.

Furthermore, it is logistically impossible to feed the entire human population a ketogenic diet and would be an environmental nightmare if it was ever to be attempted. So unless you want to commit mass genocide, the ketogenic diet is literally not sustainable.

Keto doesn’t necessitate high intake of animal products. In fact, studies show that keto folks who eat higher amounts of plant-based fats and protein reap the most benefits from the diet
