Just found out that Bourdain said that people like me should kill ourselves. Ironic.
It's not a stretch, if you literally hire a hitman to kill someone for you then you can be charged for murder. When you buy, and enjoy, the carcasses of murdered animals, you are complicit in mass murder. The enjoyment of meat is the enjoyment of killing animals.

I see. I semi agree with you, but i don't particularly care about the act of "murder" itself, mostly the method
-
The method doesn't really matter to the animal that doesn't want to die, theyre not going to be more thankful that they're being murdered in a more "compassionate" manner, most of them being juveniles and babies btw.pic.twitter.com/3Al7328ulH

I don't share the same ethical framework so it's pointless to continue this
-
It's less about ethics than it is about reality. I'm not bounded to any ethical framework, I operate from a desire to tend towards authenticity. Concepts such as "humane meat" etc. are nothing more than pure ideology and a cover for the brutal reality beneath.

Sanctity of life is not a concept i support, nor do i care about their ages. The death of a child and death of an adult are virtually the same, only the social effect differs. Death is, on a theoretical level, a neutral event. Having said that, i think factory farming is awful
-
So what stops you from murdering humans?
-
The effects on the living
-
And my own dislike for said activity
