Karl Marx said that whores are lumpenproles so just remember that next time you try and tell me thots are workers
Prole means worker. Lumpen - proles are just workers on the edge of society. Marx was an idiot about us lumpenproles. Bakunin knew what was up.

Lumpen are not the lowest workers, they are fallen middle class. So basement dwelling edgelords.
-
No, lumpenproles are proles who have fallen so much into poverty they are homeless, destitute, starving, etc. Marx thought they didn’t care enough for revolution. Other socialists disagreed. Where you got this “middle-class” thing, I have no clue.

I would argue with Marx about sex workers (the are workers.) When he is talking about the lumpenproletariat he is talking about the criminal elements, scum. He says they are the decayed elements of the old society: aristos, artisans, etc.pic.twitter.com/LQ7NPmrcWD

He has another term for those people used up or left unemployed by the revolutionizing of the means of production: paupers or the lazerous layer. Have you read Capital?
-
I think “thrown of off the lowest layers of old society” means that they were poor peasants who couldn’t adapt to capitalism, not whatever you said. And I have read some of Capital, I’m reading it now so I’m not finished, no.
-
Yes but also the peasant industry of the town and city: the ruined merchants and artisans and their precariate offspring. Fundamentally there is a link between the ruined middle class, small exploitation, and reaction
-
You should read about the creation of the surplus labor army in Capital. This is a process that does create the some lumpenproletariat but also several other distinct layers of society.
-
Idk man, I feel like this may be an area where praxis is more important than theory. Especially in the US where the old society is felt less.
