the problem with slack alternatives is that if you have some product and you want to communicate with the customers - it's not you to choose a communication channel, but rather you choose what is most convenient for the customers, and that is usually slack :(

yeah!! I think slack is probably best in most cases, but imo Zulip is a great project that I'd like more people to know about :)

there are many great alternatives to slack, actually. it's just that slack is like the leader on the market, so usually we have to use it as a common denominator. anyway thanks for sharing about zulip, I personally like the most that it's open source:)
