Birds in airport are cute. Birds landing on the anti-bird landing devices and not caring is pretty boss.

And I’d add, pretty crap move on @americanair. Original flight delayed nearly a day and had to change last minute. I’m leaving an hour earlier and arriving nearly 5 hours later. All because the “crew is delayed”

Due to some changes this morning I had to fly through London as opposed direct to the states. Flying to London is now considered an international flight because of brexit. Kind of mind blowing.

Apparently nothing in Europe is actually named what I was taught in school. I shouldn’t be surprised at this point.

Finally I had an opportunity for a paid internship at a network consulting firm but my guidance councilor wouldn’t approve me going because I was too young and he didn’t like me.

My god father was a software guy and he encouraged me, and my best friends dad was a network guy and he let me help him after hours. I was going to take the MCSE in 1999 or so.

My high school teacher wouldn’t let me join her programming class because she didn’t like how I typed. Even though I could have been a part of her more advanced class.

I was lucky to have made friends online who were willing to show me a thing or two, even if it was to encourage me to study more fundamentals before worrying about apps

When I started with computers, there was a very real ledge to learning. Half of the apps didn’t have any usage manuals, and if you couldn’t figure them out you weren’t cool enough.

Sometimes it randomly bums me out that we won’t ever see another Heath Ledger movie.

Am I the only one who has regrets not convincing their pastor to sneak in "by the power of grayskull" when they got married?

My son is negotiating with me about taking him to a party. He started with accepting no less than 10k to not go. Now he is offering me 5 dollars to take him. I think I won.

My wife is better than I am at block puzzle games. I am still learning how to deal with that.

Rules are stupid. I did my first escape room and beat the record. They called it cheating. Story of my life.

The infosec scene isn’t the infosec industry. I try hard to avoid the scene, because for all its upsides it has a pretty ugly underbelly. Make friends, ignore the noise.

People have been questioning the credibility of others publicly for as long as I can remember. There were even tests at conferences to see if you were legit.

In a decade of professional security testing, I can assure you the «scene» hasn’t really grown up much at all. If anything...
