Have you looked into metal-organic framework for methane storage on the SN1?
You need to improve robustness, which could be achieved through improved methane storage and heat dissipation, thus avoiding future gas leaks.

I immediately thought metal foams when I saw the SN1 explosion. So the idea needs a lot of tweaking, but the lack of robustness is evident. I think stable fuel storage ensures the ship can handle any uncertainty and removes the reliance on safe landings; better suited for Mars
