Well, probably one of Twitter's pillar: the "punchline" culture. Just like when someone interrupts you in a conversation before you finish of your sentence.

Maybe I am naive but should I actually engage with criticism on papers here that was voiced before the paper was read? If I see that tweet gets many likes, even though it is completely wrong? Or is it ok just to ignore it?

Sure you can ignore it, but the response is obviously to the Tweet rather than the paper. You've been around Twitter long enough to know that if you label a group of people as having an erroneous belief, that group of people will probably not be thrilled.

Ah. I will add
#NotAllStatisticians next time then. It really was not obvious to me, but I understand that all statisticians who are fine with dichotomous decisions (which happen to be not the ones I am in lengthy twitter threads with) do not feel this applies to them.1 odpowiedź 0 podanych dalej 1 polubiony
I have not read your tweets or augments, but in my incredible ignorance I maintain that you must be wrong about dichotomous decisions and lack statistical rigour.
