I am interested in a niche area of equity in funding. The contents are mostly aimed at Is/ those making the transition to be PIs. I am not “othering”. The analysis may not be of value to folks earlier in the path. Make up your mind from data. I don't consider myself an activist.

You make a good point. It's possible that in the past few months, I have heard too many negative undertone with the word activism.
I am mulling over activist/campaigner/champion/advocate roles. I don't thing any of those words describe what I really want to do in the long run. 
No group of people is perfect. I disagree w/ many. But you’ll find some of the most empathetic and compassionate people in the world within activist circles. They’re people who’ve suffered discrimination & hardship. They know suffering and can see ones humanity.

Nobody wakes up and decides to advocate for the marginalised. Everyone’s has a story. Had something unjustly taken from them or witnessed it. They’re people who decided that there was too much suffering in the world, and decided to take action to change it.
