kind of agree w/ you there. I'm surprised it ever got any media attention; workplace bullying in HE is unsurprisingly common. Funny memory: This renowned academic threatened an MP working w/ me. We just sat there being like "mate, he's protected by parliamentary privilege"
A lot of these people aren't very capable, so compensate by pushing those around them down. Creating the perception of competence. If you're bulling in your 60s, you've probably been bullying all your life — there's always a trail of bodies.
