My opinions about Dawkins is — he is good at writing about evolutionary biology. But he’s also a 79 year old child of landed gentry. So his achievements aren’t impressive given the context — personally I think he’s underachieved. I don’t expect deep critical insights from him
I’m being a bit harsh, though it is very unfortunate. He’s a man who’s never once had to question his privilege and was born into aristocracy. These ideas are of course going to be difficult for him, as it challenges the foundations of his self.
