I think you might be struggling with the concepts of graphs. It’s essentially just a visual representation of information. As a result there’s lots of types of graphs. I can provide you with references for types of graphs if that helps?

So the diagram fails in its primary objective to show sex as a spectrum because it is unable to characterise that spectrum. Instead it is quite misleading by plotting both the to sexes and aneuploidies *as if* they formed some sort of ordered continuum even with a rainbow...
