My experience is, zero tolerance policies tend to backfired b/c abuse becomes subtler and hidden. I think we need to foster accountability. (At least my experience is that places that say they have zero tolerance policies, end up just covering up bad behaviour).

I wished people who did shitty things just acknowledged it and got help so they could stop. Whenever I complained in the past there was always “insufficient evidence”and everyone turned a blind eye — literally no matter how awful the behaviour was.
