Don't suppose they are interested in hiring neurophysiologists?

As long as there is an engineering angle to the neurophysiology, for sure.

Wouldn’t it be possible to use neural processing to model how we can improve audio engineering? (upscaling audio by making use of spiking response of neurones). Just reading your work on auditory computational neuroscience,
@K_M_M_Walker, I was wondering if it was possible.1 odpowiedź 0 podanych dalej 1 polubiony -

Absolutely possible! And I like how your mind works. Good example of how to not box yourself out of potentially exciting interdisciplinary work.

Thank you. The world of computational audio is really exploding - which would benefit from an auditory neuroscience approach. It’s more valuable now than ever - especially in the era of ClubHouse, Zoom & Podcasts. Would love to brainstorm w/ you if you ever have the time.

The temporal nature of audio means we need new types of neural networks to address these problems! It would be amazing to design new NNs that upscale audio data; significantly improving call & music quality!
