I think it’s just marketing. Reminds me of Tesla - they’re nowhere close to solving level-5 self driving and are taking a brute-force approach that makes no sense.
That being said I do want neuralink and BCI’s to be a success.
Also given my love for Ghost in the Shell; would love to have cybernetic enhancements.

Sure, I think all of us would love for this to be a reality. The downside of Musk's wildly aspirational claims is that it sets unrealistic expectations and promotes hype cycles. 5 years later Musk moves on to another issue and has no care for the devastation in his wake.

I don't agree. I think it inspires many. We need to cultivate both sides of ourselves, the dreamers and the pragmatists.
