He wants lots of the neuroscientists I know. Fantastically bright grad students and postdocs working on mass behavior and with a machine learning world view.

He made some inane tweet about not needing any biology background or not needing to understand how the brain works for it all to work...just AI. Hopefully whoever is really running the show can just ignore his bluster.

That sounds about right.

I know a lot of neuralink’s competitors. And the area of BCIs are really rapidly advancing. @Oliver_Armitage with @BIOShealth at Cambridge is doing pretty cool stuff. Other companies I’ve been watching are @MindMazeTech, Paradromics and CTLR-labs at Facebook.

Definitely lots of interesting companies in this space right now.

I've searched for that comment and it is at their hiring site but only for the roles of hardware enginers - of course at the conference it sounded differently Most of the companies can be found in @NeuroTechX community which exploded in past year

Damn, I need to check them out! Increasingly, I’ve been thinking about non-invasive wrist mounted wearable techniques. I.e it there a relationship between EEG and ECG measurements. Especially when considering stress responses.
