dear fellow researchers, what would you do if you found people took ideas from your papers but not citing you?

Assume a lapse of memory.
Depends if they’re more senior or junior than you. If they’re junior I think it’s less of a concern. They would probably be grateful if you referred them to your paper and could just be a silly mistake. I think it’s common to forget where you may have come across an idea.
