I thought about that, but what I like about iPad is that you can use the Apple Pencil to make side notes, highlights a and so on on the document, just as in printed versions. I don’t know if Kindle has those functions.
I really like being able to use notability on the iPad with the Apple Pencil. It allows me to easily mark-up and highlight papers. As well as draw detailed diagrams to better understand a topic.
I would also recommend Remarkable if your main aim is to read papers and write notes. It leaves out all the distraction as it is solely for reading and writing.
