I strongly recommend the movie “I, Daniel Blake”. Though it is a drama it is by far the most realistic depiction of what working class life in British is like. The suffering of unemployment, poverty, inequality and the British welfare system.https://youtu.be/ahWgxw9E_h4
The movie is so critically acclaimed it has been discussed by members of parliament and praised for its realistic depiction by the opposition. It shows how kafkaesque bureaucratic systems can be - and why people can find themselves in poverty traps due to ineffective welfare.
