A person who is a member of a marginalized group but who for whatever reason is less harmed than others in the group by the marginalization is not therefore identical to a member of the oppressor class/group that the marginalization is designed to serve
I don’t know about this. Depends how disconnected one is from the community. Interplay between class, wealth, etc. The oppressed can rise to become oppressors. Perpetuating the cycle. A wealthy POC is not an ally to the working-class POC. And may sides with the oppressor
The further up the social-ladder we climb, the more disconnected we become from marginalised communities. You’re over reading. I didn’t say people can’t perpetuate harm. You don’t need to be particularly powerful to do that either.
It’s true that a wealthy POC may side with the oppressor class, but that won’t make them a part of that class, no matter how they may wish it would.
