I realised that I have undergone more than 20 surgeries since I was born and more than 10 interviews. Most of them turned out to go well but I would have been a less stressed and probably happier person without them.
If it’s of any consolation, until 26 I was in and out of hospital. I lost out on a lot as and I still face continual discrimination. I’s made an empathetic person. I understand systems, causality, humanity and the structures far better than anyone I know as a result of it all

Similar I would have been happier and less stressed without the suffering. But it’s outside our control. We definitely have the physical and psychological scars. But it also forces one to develop insights that only someone with lived experience can develop.
