LOL i just hit that mark and noticed a different uptake than the weeks prior. Of course a lot has happened lately! Agree, there's some sort of 'more popular' accts as part of their reco algo, and i do think there's a human component to looking at check marks and followers.
Ngl, I did follow the here mentality. Was like “oh, this person has tones of followers, is in compsci and has similar views as me”.
