It’s really hard getting an enthusiastic recommendation letter. I had the same problem with a lot of Cambridge academics. Basically as factual and with as little emotion as possible, even when I’m one of their favourite students.

There’s this assumption by a lot of them “well, he you have a Cambridge degree of course, we shouldn’t have to mention.” Every student since 2010, the world doesn’t work like that anymore.
