Google’s awful treatment of Dr. @TimnitGebru reminds us that we risk our health, friendships & jobs when we advocate. Courageous new advocates ease the burden on current advocates. We need more people, especially corporate leaders, actively working to end racism, sexism & ableism

Standing up against discrimination and abuse risks marring yourself with a permanent scar and destroying your career. We need more leaders who are willing to support people who speak truth to power, instead of further punishing them for questioning abusive practice.

Sometime I think we need to actively ask people “what have you done to fight racism / sexism / ableism?” Being a anti-racist / anti-discrimination should be a point of pride that not anybody can claim. It needs to be something we are always continually striving to reach.
