Don't really understand what's going on but the idea that a paper about a language model has anything to do with all this really blows my mind. If there was ever the case for the protection afforded by tenure, I suppose this would be it.
Any POC / minority will likely have a workplace or educational story about repercussions they’ve experience that would “shock” most. Most people have just been fortunate to never have to think about it, but It’s kind of the norm.
