Are there methods to investigate causal links within spatiotemporal data? Which sort of spatiotemporal data is there the most access to? Large-scale turbulent flow must have been incredibly difficult; did you apply the deep learning analysis to aerofoils?

Great questions! We worked on granger causality (more correlation than causality) several years ago. Definitely interested in exploring further! We work on climate, traffic, sports, health, and IoT data. See our papers for details. No, we haven't. Any cool problem?
