This is well written. It’s also worth discussing how class and race intersect with disability. How some illnesses are perceived as more socially acceptable. How disability adjustments actually benefit everyone.

definitely. there’s lots to say around race/class privilege softening some of the learning disability barriers. for one thing; the Oxford grad signalling was *so* valuable to me, a checkmark saying “well, she must be capable then,” - which ofc so many don’t get to access

^ I was there because I’d had access to a great education & more time with teachers who were able to push me and teach me study strategies earlier on, which not everyone gets

Yeh, but even then, people’s experience at Oxbridge is strongly determined by their class and race. And god, the pastoral support there is almost non-existent.
