>this door is locked by a device >kill some other random mobs that seem to not even be able to hit you because you have a whip cane >this door is locked >this door is locked by a device ok that's enough with this game.

I guess it isn't for you then, but it sounds like you didn't really play the game and if you are worried about the first NPCs being easy, you definitely didn't make it far enough before giving up :(

It just seems like the game is an exercise in tedium and will be filled with "oh... apparently that's how that works, ok?"

You literally played for 5 minutes. Give it an hour then we can talk again.

If you don’t enjoy the first 5 mins, why force yourself to play it? I never understood this. “X tv show is great” “I tried watching a couple episodes and it wasn’t for me” “oh no, you have to watch up to season 3 before it gets good but then it’s REALLY GOOD.” Yeah, no thx.pic.twitter.com/CQWAHCAlpv

Agreed, but a couple of episodes is giving it a chance. Not even leaving the starting area is like saying i didn’t enjoy the intro credit sequence to the series so not watching it.

I'd liken it more to one of the main characters is annoying and while people might like this I can't look passed this glaring issue so I'm out. I don't like the art or movement / controls, pretty easy thing to tune me out of a game asap.

I think a good example for me personally was oblivion. The second I left the tutorial into the real game and had no direction where to go in a huge world my brain fizzled and I noped out. But so many people loved the exploration of that game.

Yup, I've tried Skyrim 5 times and I always quit at the same spot right after the introduction because I can't handle the amount of things you can interact with, so I get it.

see, for me Skyrim was the opposite! I have a quest to go to x place and it’s marked for me. Off I go!

Nope, if you let me interact with everything I need to interact with everything, I can't handle it.

I’m starting to get that now. I do it in wow actually. Even if I get nothing out of a quest, if I’m in an area and it marks an a objective I gotta do the thing or die trying 6 times. But not in dark souls. Must be a combination of things.
