A friend of mine with a head on the smaller side is having trouble finding a headset that fits. Anyone have any recommendations?

Yeah sadly a bit high but if you can find a sale it's extremely comfy, great sound and great mic that auto mutes when you flip it up.

And great for smaller heads. I use ~10hrs a day and much more comfy than a M50 for example.
