I had a similar interaction with Wave of Force the other day. Don't have replay either
No bug, Facemelt and Wave of Force aren't meant to interrupt moving channels like Whirlwind, Jug of 1000 cups or Sound Barrier. Only stuns.

Weird to leave a bug in the game since lucio's release and then make a huge change to it without showing it in patch notes
