Alright, people who are more familiar with cars than me, do I go for a Honda Civic or Mazda 3? I just want something reliable and cheap.

Either way I'm not buying brand new, don't want to spend too much on my first car so really looking at reliability.

If you're gonna go with Used try to get a "one owner" car and check the carfax for accidents. No car is ever 100% if they had a big accident

Bought my first "newish" car last year when I got a certified preowned Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Very happy, but my body needs extra space

In that, it is a good sized car and I needed it for my large body frame. Not expensive and has been pretty reliable

Try to get a two year old car then. It has already lost the bigger part of its value so it cheap and won't lose that much. Also almost new
