I worked like 15 years with C++ - for gamedev i would not recommend this in 2017. Go with C# +

Replying to @azgaz
is memory managed for you in Unreal Engine? Things i would not want to bother (anymore) when writing a game

so if unreal had like a special wrapper for c++ that managed memory, then you would be fine with it?

just sayin that if you want to use UE, i hope you dont have to do manual memory mangement. Certainly would like LUA with it

Well, now I'm conflicted. DAMN IT!

Just pick one and live with the consequences, IMO. New C++ offers managed memory if you care to use it. Or wrap it!

Looks like I've been convinced to go back to C#, thanks for the feedback all!
