Just got to an amazing bit in The Last Guardian, but my PS4 can't seem to get above 10-15 fps. I thought the PS4 Pro was optional?

Optimisation was the reason that it didn't release in 2011, its a shame that they couldn't fix that after 5 years of development time
Meh, I suspect building an engine for one generation and then skipping over to the next didn't leave a lot of room for that.

Probably, but at this point we're just speculating. Shame because the outdoor scenes are the most impressive :(
