sorry small caveat, even in death still gives you the bonus dmg, but you can't use abilities

that's because the bonus triggers AFTER you pick it. Boom yes, abilities no.

you can upgrade sanc after casting, and you get dmg amp and duration as well

Might be because it's a persistent effect, but I'm guessing at this point.
