Depends on where you get the.... I think most put an authorization hold on your accounts until the product ships. I have only seen Amazon not charge/authorize on preorders.
So I've managed to get a PS5 pre-order from two different locations and both seem to have charged me immediately. Is that normal? Some new way to thin out "fake" pre-orders? Just a hold on my card?

Think it depends on the store, I know both Amazon and Best Buy up here in Canada don't charge until an item ships and they opened ours EARLY. Honestly expecting it to get cancelled =/
