yeah i had hoped midgar would be a bit more open too. it felt like ff13 in terms of linear path, to point that if you even TRY to walk off path a little it’s like “THAT’S THE WRONG WAY”. Like I felt like I was getting yelled at every time i looked for treasure.
FFVII: Remake definitely picked up in the last half. Just wrapped up the first playthrough, will give Hard mode a try as well. I really hope the next part embraces an open world structure. PS. Sephiroth theme is still the best and wtf at that ending!
