I'm curious what made you think it'd be longer. The original game was fairly short, as was RE2HD. You're expected to play it a few times with each character to get the full value out of it. I wish the same could be said for Doom Eternal. 10 hours with no reason to replay it.

Never really played thru either of them but yeah socks there isn't much reason to go back into Doom other than if you're a completionist
