I didn’t even know until this article that CNA won’t call herself cis because it’s ‘foreign to her’ although as Cassinga points out, somehow the term trans is not. At this point, cis women who resist being called cis are just red flags for transphobia.
Putting aside my personal experience with CNA, her violence towards trans women is abhorrent and unacceptable. Her words and her platform harm and endanger African trans women, and there is no ‘feminism’ in that.
My God! Chimamanda is truly transphobic.
