You know, sometimes I forget how fucking brutal my debut publication week was. This shit was happening, I discovered another of y’all’s prominent Black artist faves was trying to steal my work for his profit and had to cut him off.
Soon as I removed him, another of y’all’s faves pulled their support too. Along with the spicy combo of horrible depression, a toxic situationship with a gaslighting man who made me feel like shit, and friends who were more worried about retaining access to me than if I was ok???
Plis, that’s how I went on tour and called my agent a few days in because I was so suicidal, I wasn’t going to be able to finish the tour. That was my debut experience, right alongside critical acclaim and Vogue and Annie Leibovitz and all the shine
Being 
successful has never protected me from almost dying at the hands of how violent it is to be embodied in the flesh terms of a Black queer and trans person. So I’m not going to shut up, because all these cruelties stack up and harm people and ~not all of us survive~
