@azelin I don't think the Khorasan Shura is fictional.

@DaveedGR I didn’t say it was fictional. I said I don’t think it’s a separate group from JN. They are just JN’s EO. -
@azelin I know. I'm inclined to disagree. -
@azelin We'll see one way or the other as more OSINT comes out. -
@DaveedGR I’m sure we’ll find out more, but I’ll note that jihadis just call them members/leaders of JN and never use Jama’at Khurasan so. -
@azelin The flip side is DOD's claim that there's a lot of secrecy surrounding this group, which would explain that jihadist terminology.

@azelin true, Khorasan is part of JN but apparently functioning with own mission that's got our attention. I would not play it down -
@Levitt_Matt I’m not playing it down, I just don’t get why they just don’t say JN. -
@azelin@Levitt_Matt well, Firas al -Suri could be also labelled as "khorasan" member and he seems to be no. 2 in JN.

@g_sal_turk@danieldombey Not quite, I’m not saying it’s not a legitimate threat, just that I don’t get why they don’t just say JN.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
