Wrong. It is a GOOD thing that Arizona voters said NO to taxpayer dollars winding up in the pockets of for-profit and/or backwardsly religious institutions to the detriment of our underfunded public schools. Pupils who need special educational funding will continue to get it.

Taxpayer-funded education needs to be about adequate funding going towards academic excellence and inclusion for underserved pupils, not about profits for private businesses or opportunities for religious, unscientific indoctrination.
-
The failure of Proposition 305 offers a real opportunity for Arizona to climb up from its current position of 49th in the nation in terms of public education, which will be a good thing.

The voters in AZ knew exactly what they were doing when they voted down this amendment gimmick. AZ needs to adequately fund public schools - FULL STOP.

No! We don’t want to gut public education to make private schools cheaper for rich people.
