I agree, but I also get why they would? They need hits to earn money to pay staff, so the publisher in question is essentially reducing their potential future income. For an outlet looking to keep a good relationship with a publisher, this isn’t the way to do it, though lol
-
And yet both of these entities work independently. A journalist’s payroll isn’t on the publisher’s mind, they care about their own pockets. A good relationship isn’t needed. It’s always been symbiotic, but if they don’t see a benefit then why give them support?

Bruh, what's the article??

It’s on Eurogamer. I’d rather not link it to not drive traffic.

They literally threw SQEX’s PR people under the bus???? How unprofessional. That’s very unfortunate :/

I saw what you were talking about. Sadly it's not the first time I've seen such behavior from media, probably won't be the last. I hope it doesn't discourage you. The Golden rule works the best: treat others how you'd want to be treated. Keep your chin up, bud.

Happened to me today. Absolutely still getting and covering the game. Especially given that i'm just starting to try and get into doing day 1 coverage and reviewing, i have no expectations of anything. Be nice is generally just a good rule to follow.
