2) The typical engineer at Zynga could feel the heat if the product was not working. Not so with a lot of other companies where engineering is siloed away from user acquisition / user research / community. No denying that this could be stressful, but well, that's ownership.

3) Decision making and tradeoffs: This is a very delicate balance to try to learn. At bigger companies, you can work on a longer time horizon, though that doesn't often force you to make such hard cost benefit analysis choices in terms of being entrepreneurial.
