    Wrote a post around how and we build Presto Trip. Also I walk over a representative fare comparison example vs. all major flight search engines, and how a user would save 28% to 83% for finding the cheapest multi city flights.

    . , Chrome 79 has made keyboard based profile switching require a lot more keystrokes. Not good for accessibility or usability. 🙁 Old: Ctrl-Shift-M, then down arrow would take you to the next profile. Now: Now you need Ctrl-Shift-M, then hit down about 10 times.

    I always think of std::vector::size() as cheap. As in, it just reads the size member, or something. Of course, I'm wrong. size() is always all that cheap. In principle, it involves a division, although the compiler will likely strength reduce it a constant multiply, etc.

    Premature optimizing is (still) the root of all evil.

    Optimization is almost always virtuous when directed at large numbers of consumers, but for in-house applications it can be a poor use of time -- multithreaded, pipelined raw IO striped over multiple SATA channels versus just buying a fast NVMe drive. Still fun, though!
