Pointless considering the Senate will kill it or Trump will veto. Focus on investigating Trump.

Republicans tried 60 times to repeal the ACA. They still have a lawsuit trying to weaken the ACA, including getting rid of pre existing condition protects.

Basically make people more vulnerable to becoming defenseless victims...

how’s that status quo working?

If it doesn't pass in the Senate, state legislator's can enact their own gun legislation ala California. It's process driven reform.

So that Trump can veto it?
-
He'll have a choice. Veto it, and put his heartless/senslessness on record going into to 2020. Or cave. Either way, Dems will also be on record of our intentions w/ a majority in both houses and the WH in 2020. It could also provide a model for states to pass their own versions.
-
I think his intentions are already clear. This will break down on party lines. If we can win the Senate in 2020 we will get gun control. If not, we won’t.

Maybe a sit in as well, because that will solve the problem of mental illness in America
-
Oh dear. Have you noticed that mental illness doesn’t massacre people anywhere else in the world? Only here where guns are unregulated. Wonder why that is.
-
You are http://correct.In other countries they stab them and throw acid in there faces
-
Not sure where to start repudiating your fallacy as it’s so asinine, I’ll begin with - when was the last time one person stabbed and killed 13 others? Then I’ll move on to the fact that shootings and stabbings aren’t mutually exclusive - you have both here. Your turn
-
The point is that it is not the gun or knife that kills,it is the person.I though even someone of limited intelligence might figure it out.
-
Oh dear. Let me put this really simply - without easy access to guns mass shootings would not (COULD NOT) happen. That is not open to debate. IT. IS. FACT. Countries with strict regulation don’t get mass murders on an almost daily basis. Do the math. It’s really not difficult.

California's gun laws are already extremely strict. What do they propose will prevent these events that aren't already on the books?
-
Making the laws federal so that other states with inadequate gun laws stop causing deaths in states with sensible gun laws.
-
Wrong. It did nothing to stop the California shooter and they have the strictest.
-
So the whole country needs sensible regulation to make it effective nationwide. That’s the “federal” part.
-
We already have enough regulations. The problem is they aren’t enforced. Example: The CA shooter had previous run-ins with law enforcement and they let him go free. This is a common theme among mass shooters.
-
But the most common? Easy access to guns. And duh! Of course regulations need to be enforced to be effective. That’s a huge part of what we’re asking for. They also need to be ubiquitous.
-
You answered your own question. Lack of enforcement is the main cause of guns winding up in the wrong hands. Thanks for playing.
